Becoming a verified
JBYSY counsellor.

A three-phase pathway: application, orientation, and a five-module certification programme. Every counsellor in the directory has completed it. Total time commitment: roughly 2–3 hours, self-paced, before dashboard activation.

    Phase 1

    Apply

    Submit the Counsellor Application Form — denomination or pastoral ministry, professional training, years of practice, and at least one verifiable reference. Application review is the first step only; verification is completed after training, assessment, and activation.

    Phase 2

    Orientation brief

    Read the JBYSY Counsellor Orientation Brief — design philosophy, the ten assessment modules, what reports surface, your three roles (interpreter, facilitator, safeguarding authority), and the platform's safeguarding awareness model.

    Phase 3

    Certification programme

    Five self-paced learning modules — assessment architecture, interpreting the CRI, reading & presenting reports, safeguarding protocols, and ethical boundaries. Each module 20–45 minutes.

    Knowledge check

    Pass at 80%

    A 25-question multiple-choice assessment covering all five module areas. No time limit; up to three attempts. Immediate result on-screen and by email. Support is available after a third attempt.

  5. 05
    Activation

    Sign, subscribe, go live

    Sign the Code of Conduct and Data Sharing Agreement, then activate via the ₦100,000 / $100 per year Paystack subscription. You receive your JBYSY Certified Counsellor digital certificate and a complimentary couple-assessment credit — your first activation gift — and your profile goes live in the directory.
